Bill Nack is a Mergers and Acquisitions executive, as a principal, with over 18 years of experience in leadership positions, driving exceptional business results through strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, revenue growth, sales execution, and talent development. He is skilled at identifying clients’ strategic, financial, due diligence, and tactical investment goals, as well as working closely with private equity groups, investment banks, investors, and commercial banks.
Based in Boulder, Bill has led the acquisition or divestiture of six businesses, including Books West, The Landscape Guild, Astralux Solar, Relaxation Products, and bLogistics.
Bill grew Books West and bLogistics businesses into multimillion-dollar companies with industry leading 15.5% net profitability, eventually selling the business assets to a private equity firm. Bill also co-founded BrightSun Solar, a Boulder based private equity group that acquired assets in the alternative energy industry. Bill is an expert in financial modeling, terms negotiation, and transition plan development in industries that include construction, ecommerce, energy, distribution, technology, and logistics.
When Bill is not working, his hobbies include the culinary arts, wine collecting, being a dad, hiking around Boulder, and skiing Colorado’s high country. Bill enjoys giving his time to non-profits like the James Beard Foundation and public speaking to help young leaders.
